[0.16.51] Train crashes into itself

Post by Scf »

Train crashes into itself on circle roundabout.

See attached save:
- load the save. You will be inside the problematic train
- wait for train to unload and run to iron mine - it will be destroyed before arrival

Thanks for the report however that's working as intended. If you don't want the train to hit itself you need to make your tracks in a way it can't.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Are you sure about that? Train clearly runs into red chain signal:

Part of the train is already in the block behind the chain signal. If a train was blocked by its own red signals, it would not be able to move at all.

Would be nice to have a size limiting signal to mark parts of the train network as impassable for trains above a certain size.

Why? Because when you start you build LC trains and roundabouts and everything is fine. But as you expand you want to add LLCCCCCCCC ore trains and then they crash on the roundabouts. But redesigning the whole train network in an instant is impossible. Would be nicer to mark regions where long trains shall not pass.
