Crash for unknown reason

Post by BenSeidel »

Hi,
Crash log attached.
No idea what caused the crash. Was traveling in a train when it occurred. Reloaded the game and loaded from the save (was already in the train) and no crash occurred.

Hello. When it crashed, did you happen to be dragging a GUI element across the screen like described in this bug report?

I would guess that that is the cause. It produces a similar stack trace when I move the cursor over the boundary of the window. But it's variable. Sometimes I can move it just over the screen boundary and sometimes I can move it over 4-5cm into the second monitor.

What is most interesting is that I didn't have the window maximised at the time, so I don't know how I would have been able to drag a GUI element past the screen boundary (I had Factorio on the left half with the excel sheet on the right half of my left monitor with Netflix on my right monitor).

Anyway,
Thanks!

I think, for it to crash you'd have to drag GUI element outside of boundary of Factorio window, not necessarily your screen.
So I'll mark is as duplicate of 56501
