[16.2][mac] Game closes after checking for updates -non available-

The 0.16.2 auto updater still crashes Factorio under High Sierra on a Mac - the App download from the website works.

ok then - then the logs refer to the website downloads.
May be that a corrupt ini. file may be the culprit?
Where to find it on the Mac?

I shall post the new log file as soon as 0.16.3 is out - I will post in any case to let you know if the auto updater works or not.
I run Factorio on the latest Mac OS High Sierra with the fastest Mac Book Pro available

Enclosed the log files with the crash the auto updater results when going to 0.16.3

I am unclear on what the initial report was about - do I understand it correctly, you checked for updates inside Factorio, the game said no updates are available and then it closed itself or crashed?

I was told in a PM that this does not occur anymore from 16.4 onwards.
