[0.15.2] Crash after updating factorissimo2, auto restart

Factorissimo2 showed up as yellow in mods, clicked update mods. Game started loading and included it. Crash during cropping of bitmaps

Unfortunatelly Factorissimo2 works for me fine, can you please share here Factorissimo2.zip from your mods folder?

Thanks. The zip file is corrupted. But it shouldn't crash when reading it (fixed for 0.15.7)

I got an error after loading it in 15.6, stating Error while loading mod-setting prototype "Factorissimo2.free-recursion" (bool-setting): Prototype name can't contain the '.' character.

It now offers to disable it

That is an intentional change by the factorio devs in 0.15.3 Under the Modding header:
Prototype names are not allowed to contain the '.' character.
MagmaMcFry has already updated and fixed that error.
