Showing up/see/visualize modules in assemblies...

I just saw this:
https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... 164#p27164
The assembly in the center shows up a sign "+20%". I mean this would be really useful, to see in the alt-mode which entity has modules inside and how much it is extended/buffed...

I would REALLY like that. It would be very helpful.
Also, a little thing... Is there a way that the "alt mode" doesn't get switched when you Alt+Tab??
:=)

I'd more like a visual indication of the modules than simply +20%.
Reason:
1) You can already access that information if you hover over a building
2) It doesn't tell you what modules exactly are inside. Especially for the -30%, -40% and -50% power ones you'll have no idea which are inside as all it tells is -80% regardless if it's 3 of the -30%, 2 of the -40% or 4 of the -50%.
3) The module icons would never take more space than there are slots. The text could take up quite a bit of space with mixes of modules. Especially if more get added (or modules can have multiple effects) and in mods.

I think to bars, or buttons in differemt colors (speed blue, productivity red, green pollution). Then I thought also, that it is important to see, if there are modules inside and how much, and distinct between influence of beacons. I would like to see some kind of module slots on the device and if it is plugged, it emits a small light.
But I didn't thought deeper, cause it doesn't make sense: there is a big theme, what should/can be shown on extra information on a device (I find it for example very important to see, which stack/tank is currently full empty).

1+ to everything above
I was thinking about how to optimize the tiresome job of managing modules and this is a really good start.

Great idea, visualization FTW. I have put it on our internal TODO as a proposal.

A little grid of lights might work:
For each module slot there would be a row of three lights, where the colour of the light indicates the type of module inserted, and the number of lights the level of the module. So a factory with 4 slots, with 1 lvl 1 blue module and 1 lvl 3 green module would show:
B: blue light
G: green light
.: light is off
That should not take too much space.
Visualize modules on buildings

Maybe this has been asked about before, but I would really like to easily see what modules I have installed in my buildings. Like a miner with two blue dots on it just to know that I don't have to optimize it further.
Should be visible together with the entity info toggle.

I was thinking just using little dots. Each module has three shades of blue, violet and green for the three levels. See attachment.

Showing, visualize and now seeing of modules in assemblies.
But that by JackGruff is the best.
