allow different versions of one mod

it should be possible to add different versions of one mod to the game. In the mod-list you can select, which version to load (stored in mod-list.json maybe). In Multiplayer games the mods from server will get used in the correct version (if installed, else error)

I don't see any good usage case for that. And the afford to make this work is waaaay higher, than any usage case.
Do you have a good example for having that?

well, i find it very annoying to adjust my used mods (and even check the versions) if i want to play different mp-games.

If I play maybe on Server 1 (Bobs Mods) and on Server 2 (5Dim), then i have to change the mods at before. If the Server updates one or more mods, every player has to update manually. If it may possible to install different versions, the mods could downloaded at connect in the correct version if not present.

I think it would be much easier to update the server instead. :)

One example might be keeping the backups of mods before updating them via game client.
Also, I doubt this one takes much work.

Now having a replay working for a game with mods updated in the middle would be too much of hassle for what it gives in return.
