Easy laying out of long underground pipes

Currently laying out long segments of underground pipes is quite tedious because you have to precisely target at quite long range to place pipes at maximal possible distance. Automatic orientation flipping helps a lot already, but it would be really nice if max-dist logic similar to power poles placement would apply here. The algorithm may be such - if left mouse button is held when underground pipe is being placed, then it is placed IF it would connect some other pipe above ground OR if it is at maximal possible distance with underground pipe it would connect to.

P.S: this may also apply to underground conveyor belts.

Btw personal roboport is fantastic for this, and while the changes in 0.13 will help a good deal in the early game, the personal roboport will still offer some other advantages, such as being able to place pipelines through forests with the robots removing the necessary trees, and placing power lines at the same time.
