Map Editor: Change world generation after the fact

Hi all, devs,

I'd love it if we were able to change the world generation (iron ore frequency/size/richness, enemy base frequency/size/richness etc.) after creating the world and editing it in the World Editor. I'm finding that jumping in, tweaking some values pre-world gen, changing the world and adding resource fields and then playtesting and finding the world generation has had its own ideas about where to additionally place ores is somewhat tedious a process. If I design a scenario with a forest glade that's supposed to have nothing in it but a secret chest in the middle with riches beyond your wildest dreams, I don't want world gen to plop a whole field of iron under the chest also. Building, playtesting, throwing away a level, regenerating the same level with the same seed except with tweaked world gen values (iron field size or frequency for example) and then trying to recreate what I'd made previously seems like a redundant iteration loop.

So my request is this:
  • Add the ability to change (only certain) values of the world generation while in the World Editor.
I understand things like the seed or the terrain segmentation or water size and frequency can't be edited while in the World Editor, but at least things that are determined at runtime, for example where ore fields or enemy bases are spawned, could be left accessible for inside the World Editor, right?

Thank you for your time,
Shrooblord
