unleash game.speed cap

why did game.speed get capped to 5? Personally i used values up to 100 for testing purposes and i am frustrated tha last days that testing takes ages now :/

I would really appreaciate the cap to be removed again :) !

Maybe if the cap only applied to MP games, but was unlimited for SP games? Most mod and idea testing is done in SP.

The updates are definitely capped at 300 per second now. In 0.12 my computer could pull of 2000/sec.

There is no upper cap. It's just what your computer can handle.

You can definitly not go over 300 UPS anymore. It's possible in 0.13.20 but not in 0.14.7 anymore. At least not per ingame command.

Tested again, smallish map of 100x100, in 12.33 the updates are thousands and oscillate based on happenings in 14.07 its solid 300 updates.
Tested even again on 2x2 map and didn't go over 300 in 0.14.07
Something weird happens, when factorio is minimized, the game goes fast, when you restore the window, you can notice the updates falling back to 300. I've even disabled vsync and it still happens like this.

Tested and found the reason: The gamespeed caps at 300 when v-sync is activated, but is uncapped when not.
Not sure if a bug or intentional. If it's a bug pls move it to the bug section.

Maybe you didn't restart factorio? Is v-Sync forced by another app?
