TL;DR
Link/Button in Mods Overview to open "Mod settings"
What ?
I would like to fast open mod settings from the mods overview.
Please add an additional button or link "Mod settings" in this screen

Maybe even fast jump to (startup) mod settings from selected mod.
Why ?
I often want to edit mod settings and try it instinctively via menuitem "Mods" in main menu. Then I have to go back to use "Settings" / "Mod Settings".
I think it's not so intuitive, that Mod Settings are only under Settings and not under Mods

From the UX this makes only sense if I got presented an extra window with that setting. What I mean is: it should not jump out of mod-settings, into the main-menu and open settings.

I remember, there was a possibility to open "Mod Settings" from new game window, but that's is gone, it seems.

I'm not sure how to solve the "crossjump" issue, without restructuring the menu items.
"Mod Settings" belongs to "Mods" and to "Settings" (parent child relation with 2 parents). IMO, the Mods relationship is a bit stronger.

Yea. After all these years this still trips me over regularly. I Click Mods -> Back -> Settings -> Mod Settings. When I compare it with my browser (FF) I know why: Addon settings are on each addons page, not on the page for the "base addon" so to speak.

That’s the point of my comment: when you come from the main menu, the setup could look as it is. Fine. But when you are in the mod settings and click a new button to set the setting of that mod, it needs to look different! Because you want to edit the settings of that mod, and not all.

We have here the left side, which is a selection of filtered mods and the right side, which is a detail-info of the selected item from left. And of course, if we want to edit the settings of a mod here, we must follow this pattern, which means if you want to edit the settings of a mod, it should be done on the right side and cannot open a new window or similar things. (I didn’t think enough about it when I wrote that above)

I could think of two ways how that could work:
A) the right side has a tab/extra button or similar up-element to switch to the settings view of the selected mod.
B) we add a new folder to the left. Currently there is “manage”, “install” and “updates” folders, and we could add another folder “settings”.
That would also enable to move other functionality here, like “reset settings of all mods” or similar things.

Edit: For Softwaredevelopment this is something, which should be normally avoided (two interfaces, with same functionality but different design). I underline “normally”. it’s difficult and it depends strongly, how often a normal user is in a situation where this makes sense.

If case B would be implemented, i think the Settings -> Mod Settings page could be omitted entirely.
That would be a different suggestion compared to my initial idea, but I'd be totally fine with that.
