TL;DR

For some place, the internet doesn't perform very well. Download the internet game list is always very slow, like 5 to 10 minutes. Minutes, not seconds.

What ?

If the linking to a game fails, the list has to be downloaded again, which could be another 5 minutes. I mean, 5 minutes.

But how will you know which servers are still online if the list is outdated? Which has the potential to spiral out of control over time. As more and more servers become ghosts on your list, and you keep trying to connect to dead servers.

it'd be better to split it up and merge them as they come in. it can be retrieved with multiple connections at once.

Sounds like DoS-attack.
