Logistic Drones & Trash Removal

I'm seeing a lot of drones coming at me, holding stuff, dropping that stuff off in my inventory, and then leaving empty *handed* (so to speak).

If the drone's next to me, has no purpose but to move things around (logistic drone) and has an empty cargo hold, why doesn't it take something away, instead of leaving empty handed? It seems like a waste of time and electricity to leave without taking something out of my trash, when I have it.

the bots don't decide what job to take when they are free, it's the contrary. When a job is created, it is queued, and a bot is called.
