Copy/paste settings between different types of entities

Post by sparr »

I'd love to be able to copy and paste between entities whose settings could be usefully mapped to each other. For example, a constant combinator and a filter inserter, copying one way would set filters to match the [first 5] signals, the other would set signals (=1?) to match the filters. Things with a single filter, such as filter stack inserters and storage chests, could copy the filter. etc.

other example i wish exist : arithmetic and decider combinator, wish you could copy the signals and/or constant if they are available, else copy only the input one.

This was lately implemented for conditions (conditional combinator to lamps for example).

@sparr: for that case I just a wire between constant combinator and filter inserters.

@mmmPI I’m not sure if that is really a good idea and what values are copied to what destinations.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
