[0.18.10] Sandbox faster tile removal

TL;DR
If the placement of tile areas is instant, shouldn't it be instant to remove them in sandbox?

What ?
I suggest that areas of tiles could be removed in one click, in sandbox mode. There may be /editor but i feel like this should be sandbox spirit.

IMHO just turn on editor mode - command is "/editor" - and just use the deconstruction planner.

PS: Editor mode enables instant cut/copy/paste too.
PPS: To enable progression of time, click the clock icon then the play button.

we can also instantly place tile in the game without editor mode, shouldn't that logic mean that it should be quick to remove there too?

"Sandbox" mode is mostly defunct and only kept because "why not". The map editor is superseded it in every way.

After trying the map editor ... I still prefer sandbox scenario with editor mode though as I can enter it from the load save screen. Saves me a few clicks.

I run a default no mods save but I prototype in the sandbox + editor save. Create the BP in sandbox, drop it in the library, and use it in the default no mod save.

Didn’t know that the map editor at the menu is the same one you switch to with /editor.
