i would like to see more/better ways to produce power besides coal and solar or at-least an upgrade on the steam-engines, perhaps a "turbine" research to get some steam turbines that work better, or something like the thing that powers the power armor but bigger, i would really like an hho machine that would just split hydrogen from the water but that would be a gas so you would need some other machine to turn it into some kind of hydrogen block that you could use. that would be my vote. those are just a few of my ideas feel free to post more.

Maybe a gas/oil fire turbine, moderate power output, only requires heavy oil (or another oil) and doesn't require water, would be useful for tapping oil deposits far inland where you either have to string power poles for 200 chunks or pipe water all the way over. If its more inefficient than the standard furnace + steam generator it would become a more situational energy source. It could also be used to burn off excess oil (maybe before advanced oil) without wasting it.

They do have plans to have an oil powered boiler.
