What?

Switch the position of green and red wire on substation in horizontal view.

Why?

Because on all other electric poles, viewed horizontally, green is on top and red at bottom. Unify design. In the current state, wires cross each other when a substation is connected to a other type of electric pole. When trying to understand/troubleshoot wiring, it helps big time when wires are not overlapping.

It was a play on words or acronyms in the same fashion as rearranging OCD, and the subject of this thread. OCD -> CDO Polish notation -> Reverse Polish Notation -> polish item

Thanks to the other thread i did testing and substations actually have swapped colors for 3 of 4 directions. All others have "left=green,right=red" (from the perspective of the pole, so rotation changes it and that's fine.).


This won't fix your "crossed wires" problem for the other pole sizes though.

Edit: If no dev comments on this (i.e. reads this) i think i'll try escalating it to a bug report in a few days.

This really is an unnecessary inconsistency. Changing the wire positions for the substations to make them consistent with the other power poles will considerably reduce wire crossing – without any obvious downsides.
