Diplomacy

I know there a TON of people saying that having diplomacy with the aliens would be sort of stupid because of the fact that biters just simply don't seem intelligent enough, but I think that actually implementing this into the game would improve it massively (It is fantastic already, by the way) as it would create a completely separate way to play. OBVIOUSLY there are much more important things that need to be implemented into the game first but just PLEASE do not throw this idea out

Would it be too much to ask you to load your shotgun with
apple rounds the next time you pay biters a visit??

One of the important factors here is the pollution and damage to environment.

I was going to make a mockup of an arboretum machine eventually that would be a way to process and place trees, and that would help a lot to reduce pollution. Carbon scrubbers are another idea that would help a lot.

Perhaps the game could have a "friendly/unfriendly" meter that goes bad when you destroy the environment and good when you plant trees and offer tidings to the aliens. If you kill aliens it could probably bring the bar down extremely fast since that's a hostile action.
