Drone Logic

Hi,

I have a little suggestion for the drone logic itself.

My issue is at the moment:

I've got a personal roboport and 10 building drones in my armor. I used the Deconstruction planner to mark lots of trees to deconstruct them.

I also used a blueprint at the same spot to set up a few train railways.

Sometimes all of my 10 drones get stuck and try to build the railway while there are all the trees in his way.

It would be a great thing if the order would be:

1. deconstruct if something is in the way
2. construct whatever

Best regards,

William

Hi,

In this case, you don't need to deconstruct manually trees before : Just plonk your railway blueprint while holding Shift :
https://wiki.factorio.com/Blueprint#Add ... nformation
Il will deconstruct just the trees that are in the way.

I'm pretty sure i have seen I have seen bots hovering attempting to build something waiting for a tree to be deconstructed even when i have placed the blueprint using shift. (I must admit that I'm not 100% positive about that though, I often remove the trees first, since I often want to remove trees around the blueprint for easier walking). Never had enough of my bots stuck that way for it to be a problem though.

On very rare occasion, you can get into a situation where drone A: is told to remove a tree, because the tree is scheduled to be removed, drone B: is told to put the item down, drone A then runs out of power and goes to recharge, as a result drone B just sits there and waits to be able to put down it's item.

If you're low on power, this can result in a situation where the drone may sit there for a long time. It will resolve itself eventually though.
