Less interupts for saving during MultiPlayer

Lately I've been playing quite some on public hosted servers. Every time a player joins the map is saved and transfered to the new player. But then there's also autosaves. Could it be possible to make autosave every X minutes work as X minutes without a save? So if it autosaves at 20h00 and a player joins at 20h06, the next autosave with 10 minutes between autosaves would be at 20h16 instead of 20h10. The server should save the saves for the new player together with the autosaves.
