That's the worst scenario, though it's equally annoying to save, hit escape and go get another beer, sit down and have the autosave fire right after resuming. The timer should reset to zero when we invoke manual save/load actions. Thanks!

You should try and limit your alcohol consumption. Couple of beers from time to time is OK, but that many beers every day will destroy your liver

Please change autosave like suggested and save his life. PLEASE.

Reset the autosave timer when saving the game

What ?

My base is getting large enough (and my laptop old enough) that saving the game is starting to take an annoyingly long time. I still want autosave on in case I make a huge, unexpected mistake. But it's slightly annoying that sometimes I'll manually save the game, and then 4 seconds later, the game will autosave again, completely unncessarily.

It seems like it would make sense for the autosave timer to reset whenever the game is saved or loaded.

I want to have saving in background, so that you don’t need to wait.

For that, your only option is linux, because of OS limitations.

Works also on Mac. It’s based on Unix. Keyword is non-blocking saving. Windows is the only OS, that cannot do that.
