Before you hear my idea you need to have this running, it's essential.

Your first priority was to gather resources and build up a suitable shelter.
Weeks into your survival you have finally setup a suitable camp.
Months later you have a base, with factories and machinery.

Then, on the anniversary of your arrival, you have achieved the greatest glory, something you could only achieve if you were a part of the highest elite on earth.

A Multi Track Drifter

It's Early in the morning, the smell of machinery and sound of train dominates your senses.
You get in the train and sit down in the chair.
With only one thing in mind, you thrust all handles to their max.
You feel the G forces push you back in the chair as the train rapidly picks up speed.
You look at the speedometer as it rises, hitting 100, 200, 300, 400 Km/h
Then, before your eyes you see your goal.

The Y Track Piece.
Your eyes light up like new years eve in the 2000s back on earth.
Adrenalin rush surging through your body.
Hands Clinching onto your chair.

The train runs over the Y track, front first goes straight forward
Then a CLANG is heard, you feel yourself thrown back in the chair by the massive forces generated from your

Perfectly Executed Multi Track Drift

Behold survivor, for gods and ultimate being all look up to you now. You have become the Singularity of this super symmetrical universe.

Uh... ok?
Seems pretty pointless, so don't expect it in the stock game.
Maybe you'd have luck making it a mod request?

First off, it's not pointless.
It's an essential part of the game, due to its high increase in fun rating.

It would not be possible to mod this, as it's an idea that would require fundamental code changes.

*Edit
*Depending on how the train itself rolls on track, if it has a back and front part that is individually controlled

Games were made to be fun. Not to simulate the real world.

Hm, I think the train is currently not containing single wheels, which would enable to have them on different rails. :)

But it would be fun to be able to change a switching while a train runs over it and see the train crashing. :)
"Hu, what is this little crank here besides that rail-switch?" <click> <reload last save> "I should not stand on the empty rail, when I change a switching".

(And when I think about it: A game mode which is named "Train crash": you need to build an endless train and send it to the opposite site and in the middle both trains crash together in an endless "big crashing", and depending on the speed you can build this "crash point" moves until one train reaches the "winning-flag").

Alas, when the train is placed on a rail segment, it cannot be detached from it. Hence you cannot change the two separately.

So why not add pink bunnys with machine guns?

1.) This reasoning is really freaking stupid.

2.) Wouldn't be fun due to complete immersion breaking. It doesn't fit the game. Multi-track drifting doesn't ruin the atmosphere of the game, just adds something silly.
