might i suggest this helpful mod

i know wont be helpful for multiplayer vanilla servers, but for your private game, quite helpful.

as a note to the devs, a function of automatically syncing mods from the portal to the client and server that the client is attempting to connect to, would be most beneficial. also if possible, any mods installed on the server that are not available on the portal, can be downloaded directly from the server, would be also beneficial. imo the game could download the mods from the portal and the server, relaunch, then connect to the desired server automatically. manually syncing mods is too much of a pain for most players im afraid.

Imo it should download from the server instead of the mod portal. If the server admin makes some changes to the mod, like editing some config files or something, you would run into issues where the mod on the client isn't exactly the same as the mod the server is running.

while i agree that a mod would solve this easily i'd prefer to see this in vanilla factorio because visually you should be able to get through these obstacles.

also i'd say this is a bug:

since you can run through that from time to time. (depending on collision calculation while running)

Nope, I believe that's been marked as NaB before.

I believe something along those lines is planned for 0.17.
