Rotating map 90 degrees clockwise

Hi,

I wasn't sure where to place this topic and could not realy find anythig about the suggestion below. And really don't know if there is a mod for this.

I figured out that when you want to place inserters right next to a 'vertical placed train-wagon(s)' there is slightly an issue with the allignment of the tiles. I think it's because of the 3dsketch of the train on a 2d based game and the view angle i think. But anyway, my idea/suggestion is to insert an option to be able to rotate the whole map ( rotating it 90 degree clockwise each time ).

I think this option will be a very handy option in big factories..

The train/inserter issue was just an excample given.. You obviously misunderstood the reasonf of what i mean i think...

Maybe this will help better to understand what i mean...

I guess, rotating the map will be very helpful for other purposes to.. Just playing the game from another side would be interesting

I understood. :)

Rotation of the map is a very hard problem: For example the gun-turrets are 1x2 tiles wide. You cannot rotate them, because they would look odd. And so on with many other stuff, especially the trains.
