Buffer/Requester chests to send requests to circuit network

Post by KampKounslr »

Add an option to Buffer/Requester Chests to output each requested item, and the amount of it being requested, to the circuit network. This would allow better use of Filter Inserters that are set to get their filter from the logistics network, and allow better use of buffer and requester chests with belts and trains as well as a create-on-demand network.

Can't you use a constant combinator to send signals to set the requests of the chests and the filters of the loaders?

I don't see how this makes anything better. Seems to be a very fringe feature barely anyone would use. You know, like buffer chests.

Reading the contents of a logistics network works for everything you have to do concerning bots.

Buffer chests are a great way to return used items to a shopping mall.

Storage chests did that all along.
