Copy & paste train conditions

- there should be a "copy" and "assign" button for train stations in the train interface.

"Copy" takes the conditions of the selected station, "assign" overwirtes the conditions of the selected station with the stored one.

Perhaps a "management tool" would be even better, i.e. just one button, and you could create/name/store and assign templates.

There already is.

Shift-right click to copy. Shift-click to paste. Works on all kinds of things, including trains. My favorite use is to copy an assembler and paste it into a requester chest.

EDIT: Maybe it's the other way around. I don't remember and can't load the game right now :)

5th horseman I think he means the settings for stations within the menu rather than for the whole train. I think that the new gui might go a long way to helping but I still think you'll be limited to having to set up a train type manually and then copying it

Aha. I see. So if you have "wait for 60 seconds" at one station in your current train's list, you want to copy that entry and paste it. Yeah, I agree it should be a thing. And the shift-click would work fine and not involve learning anything new. I doubt I'd use it, but hey it gets my vote :)

2 additional buttons for train schedules:

- "Copy" and "Edit".

"Copy" copies the selected station and all of its conditions, inserting it another time.

"Edit" lets you change the selected station, select another one from the list.

This is something you could really use very often.

I think it would be more more meaningful to be able to group trains with identical orders and let them share their orders with each other, as is the case with OpenTTD shared orders. This has the advantage that if you want to change the orders, you don't have to edit the individual orders of all 20 trains, but only one single set of orders.

This has been suggested for Factorio in the following thread:
