Electic mining drills on iron patches are painful to look at

There simply isn't enough contrast between the drills when they're on iron and to some degree, even on stone.

So I worked around this mine for a solid 10-15 minutes and just after a couple of minutes I couldn't wait to be done with it, it was irratating how hard the mines are to look at. Both in terms of the lack of contrast as well as the insanely thin walls of the mine itself.

They could definitely use a slight colour change to be more brighter at the very least, another solution would be to change the colour of the mine itself depending on which ore patch it's on but that would make things needlessly complex, IMO a simple colour change to something with more contrast would be more than enough.

And you didn't even mention grass-type doodads, that make seeing what you're doing when you place electric mining drills on your iron ore patches a real pain.

That really depends on what it is we think they do. One could imagine a reason for them to spin in that direction pretty easily.

You only need to see them when they are completely mined, and that is no problem.
