HEY, What about Air/Water enemies? (sp/en w/PD)

Seria interesante, en un nivel de evolución más avanzado, que los Biters y/o Splitters desarrollaran la habilidad de surcar las masas de agua o volar para obligar al jugador a consumir recursos en su base y así fomentar más exploración (en busca de recursos obviamente) además, esto haria que cada jugador mejorara su paraiso fiscal (islas artificiales) para protegerse de los aliens. FNI
Pd: encontré su avión equipo de Factorio ;)

Would be interesting, for an advanced evolution level, Bitters and/or Splitters develope swimming or flying habilities, forcing the player to consume more resources on their base, and then fomenting even more exploration (resource hunting obviusly) AND, this would make every playr improve their fiscal paradise (artifitial island) to be safe away from alien. EDN

The pathfinder doesn't currently work well when pathing through tiles that normally a biter collides with.

There are ways around this through the mod api, but scaling to large amounts of units becomes the problem.


El pathfinder no funciona actualmente bien cuando se recorre a través de los azulejos que normalmente un biter choca con.

Hay maneras alrededor de esto a través del api de mod, pero la escala a grandes cantidades de unidades se convierte en el problema.

From a purely gameplay perspective, adding flying or swimming enemies would remove any element of terrain control - as the single impassable barrier (water) would suddenly become passable.

So without different terrain or other gameplay dynamics, I can't see this adding to the game - though I would love to see the art for flying and swimming critters.

Sea worms... that surface periodically next to your water pumps and launch an ICBM nuke at a random target in your factory if you don't kill it in time.

Because sometimes I feel guilty just planting artillery with logistics on islands and letting it decimate all the biters.

Glad to know there are like minded masochists :) Please note the artillery use case!
