Touch/Pen/Controller Support

This might be far out of left field and I have no idea how difficult it would be to implement. As our computing options are getting more and more varied so do our input methods. I think controller support would probably be the hardest but Pen and Touch would might be easy? Pen and Touch would seem to be very intuitive method for the game.
I have no idea. I'm the farthest thing from a programer ever so I figured I would just toss it out there see what people think.
