[0.15.x] Stack sizes for new items not consistant

(EDIT: 0.16 experimental builds have reduced nuclear reactor stack size to 10, but not seen any other changes)

Maybe not a bug as such, but important to consider I think.

The stack sizes for many buildings added in 0.15 - particular those needed for nuclear power - are set to 50

This isn't consistant with existing buildings in the game, so should be changed.

In particular:
  • Nuclear reactor - currently 50. Should be much much lower as it's a resource-intensive building to make, of a similar cost to the rocket silo (with a stack size of 1), and they're never needed in large numbers. I suggest reducing to 1, or maybe 5
  • Heat exchanger - currently 50. While this is the same as boilers, a smaller stack size could be more suitable - perhaps 20? The same for boilers too, now they're larger and you need less of them.
  • Heat pipes - currently 50. Probably OK as it is.
  • Centrifuge - currently 50. Should be lower - 10 would be better (like Chemical plants + oil refineries), or maybe 20.
  • Steam turbines - currently 10. The same as steam engines. These are fine, although a slight increase (20?) may be better?
  • Fluid wagons - currently 5. The same as cargo wagons. Also fine.
I think that's everything - some are OK, if they're a variation on something already in the game (turbines/fluid wagons), while the others seem to be (a default?) 50 stack size when much lower would make sense in most cases.

Heat popes - currently 50. Probably OK as it is.
I don't know about heat popes, but with the regular kind you can only have one at a time...

I agree with the original poster's suggestion.

The stack sizes could use a little fine-tuning.

Does anyone know if the devs pay much attention to the non-bugs area of the forums? I posted this over two months ago now, and don't have much hope of it being seen before 0.15 reaches a stable release at this rate...

I don't think there is any hope of this issue being adressed in 0.15. However, there will be major changes in 0.16.

In my experience, the devs do also read the ideas and suggestions forum a bit, but they of course pay a lot more attention to the bugs forum.

0.15.31 already became the stable 0.15 version today, so you can only hope that this will be "fixed" in 0.16.x

(am i missing some announcement on their website or this forum or is this post only on steam?)

Just wanted to give this a bump while 0.16 is going through testing.

I note the nuclear reactor stack size has now been reduced, down to 10, but haven't seen anything else changed.
