Coal Liquefaction without plastics

I would like to be able to reach the Coal Liquefaction tech if I start on an island with no oil.
I'm dumb. Nothing to see here.

Coal liquefaction requires heavy oil as an input, so if you have no oil you won't be able to do it even if you can research it.
