Train Wait Condition: Loco Inventory Full

Post by Steambirds »

This idea is pretty simple: a new wait condition that would make a train wait until the inventory of its locomotive(s) are full of fuel(s).

Being able to read the contents of the locomotives with the circuit network may also be useful. However, this should be disabled by default, because normally you are only interested in the contents of the train's cargo and not its locomotives.

Some people might want to create a central fueling depot for their vehicles, so it would be hard to get them to wait until their fuel is full without already having an idea of how long it would take to load fuel.

5 seconds of inactivity covers this condition
\|/;';\|/
It may be working as intended, but
what was intended is not working.

Normally yes, but not if the refuelling station itself is currently out of fuel.

"Wait until fuel is full" won't work if you change fuel types, unless you have both types available or remove the old type somehow, so inactivity is better. If your depot is out of fuel, well, probably you've got a problem anyway.

On second thought, I am against the OP's suggestion. In my opinion, it would be better if the following suggestion were implemented:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=51387 Rail car/locomotive scanners

That way, it would be possible to read the contents of individual wagons/locomotives using the circuit network. At the station, you can then set a wait condition based on a circuit network condition. This solution is a lot more flexible than what the OP suggests.
