Steam engine and Oil

Now that steam engine, steam turbine only consume steam, how do we burn excess oil byproduct? At some point of the game, I may need to produce large amount of lubricant but nothing else. If that happen, I need to constantly create new space for light oil and gas for it to work, but then at some point the storage might be full and there is no way to keep producing heavy oil without manually keep adding storage. So my suggestion is add a proper liquid destroyer in form of chimney or some burner pillar that just destroy liquid.

Well... in the old game, I would have said that if you need more heavy oil, you're doing it wrong, if anything you need more petroleum gas to make sulfuric acid and plastic to be used in making batteries, advanced circuits and processing units.
And light oil to make fuel blocks (Seriously, that's pretty much the only use it had until they added the flame turret in 0.13, because the flamethrower was useless before that point too), or cracking down to make even more gas!
However, with the change to science pack 3... this just isn't true any more. it feels like they've broken the entire oil balance.

In the meantime, there's a couple of mods which can help with your problems.
Flare Stack by GotLag:

Petrol Condensation by me:

Petrol Condensation's recipes need coal to condense the lighter oil fractions to heavier ones, and you also need to research Advanced Oil Processing to unlock them.

This seems to be something, which needs a bit more watching.
What's needed is a better/more relevant prove.

Make Solid Fuel out of the Light Oil/Petroleum Gas and burn it in boilers if you've got too much of it. Temporarily disconnect any other power production source (Nuclear, Solar) if necessary using a circuit network condition. Or use the boilers to pre-heat the water for Nuclear power (Which is what I'm doing to preserve Uranium).
That will guarantee that the Oil Process never gets stuck with too much of something since you will always burn at least some of the stuff even if your factory is in idle mode due to idle power draw.
Works fine for me and I have never had any issues with the Oil industry ever since.
You should never want to flush out any Oil Product through a Steam Engine to destroy it because that is literally a waste of resources that could be spent to do something meaningful.
