Pipe/Circuit network connections?

Did a quick search but didn't find anything similar to this: Can pipes be enabled for the Circuit Network?
Suggested functionality would be similar to conveyor belts:
- Open/Closed fluid transfer based on circuit condition (pipe would function like a passive valve)
- Read fluid content/pressure (possibly multiply by 10 to account for the fraction used in pipes)

This would eliminate the hassle of having to use Small Pumps as makeshift valves, which in some cases is counterproductive, because those pumps can drastically limit throughput on a pipe. Given pipes function as "conveyor belts" for fluid, giving them the same functionality as belts with respect to the circuit network would be handy.

Added to viewtopic.php?f=80&t=41855 Heated Liquids / Warmed/Cooled Fluids (for Chemical Production Optimization ...)

This suggestion has nothing to do with the title of that topic. /smh

That just looks like so. It has some connections:

- either you need that for some kind of alarming (there's another topic) for the case, that you don't have enough coal for example. But that's boring. No new gameplay!
- or you need it to heat liquids to a certain temperature. Which needs some kind of control over that process.
And which is much more interesting.

And when you look to the linked articles you can find some suggestions, that suggest this already.

Well, if we're going to need liquids at an intermediate temperature, then burner boilers aren't going to cut it - you'll need electrical boilers. Which incidentally would be handy to begin with to use solar power to buffer hot water for nightly use. Burner boilers don't switch on and off fast enough to be able to control temperature precisely.
