It would be useful and educational to put the symbol of the element or compound on the recipe images. For example putting a stylized 'Ag' in the middle of the silver plate, Pb for lead, Sn for tin, etc. It would make it easier to pick them out from the grid once you learned them, and learning them would be useful in any case.
