Cars are dangerous, and hard to park in a garage, but what about a type of wall your car can hit without damaging the wall or car, that way you can have a garage that you don't have to worry about hitting stuff to park in or you could surround Power Lines with so they don't get destroyed by your car.

Actually the safest way to place a car into a garage is to automate it.

Place a long basic belt path ( horizontaly ) at the end of garage place door each side of the belt (top and down ).
Make sure to place the car sideway on the belt ( as the top of the car is outside of the belt )
You can place inserter ( facing down ) placing item on the ground one tile higher of the belt )
So when the car reach the gate it'll be automatically refuel and ready to be reused.

Make sure to stop the car on the belt and get out of the car ( otherwise the door will automatically open )

When you need your car juste go near the garage it'll open the door and you car will automatically get out.
