The planet is round! / Map wrap-around

The planet you crashed into is most probably round. In elliptic geometry (or you can say on a planet) there are no parallel lines because any line will eventually intersect itself. Or simply "if you go in one direction for long enough you will return to where you started from". In Factorio you can specify map size. Now, black corners are not fun enough because they are very explicit and stupid. My suggestion is to make the map to have no ends by making the map looped. Map height and map width will therefore mean planet's minor axis and major axis.
The idea itself is of no practical value (probably, I can't think of one) and is purely for fun/realism.
The amount of code this idea needs is probably ridiculous too and so it won't be implemented any time soon.

I don't know why I came up with this, probably because I am stupid.
But hey, at least you can make a giant belt that connects to itself without ever having to change the direction of the belt's contents!
