My Suggestions and Ideas

Good day/evening to all that read then and I hope that read this, are having a wonderful day.

I have yet to buy this game, I am waiting for my pay check to come in but I played it for a good two hours over at my friends house, I have him to thank for showing me this game but even with just two hours of game play I already have some suggestions and ideas for the game, also just some general discussion about the game too that I would like to talk about.

First off, I have seen a few posts about Robotic workers and such and I would like to add my own suggestion to this.
First off my robotic worker idea is not so much a general purpose robot but a special robot/droid, either land or hover based,a mining droid/robot, Now its not as simple as just making it and telling to mine, Instead you would have to build a mining droid/robot port that they would go and drop the resources off and refill they're energy, Also instead of placing the building over the ore you could place it beside it, one side would be the area of operations that you could adjust in the build and the other side would be the automatic out put and of course you would have to supply them with the mining droid/robots and power for it to operate.

The reason I suggest it this way us because I have found it very annoying to have to keep replacing my electric mining drills every time the small area get depleted, Now the droid/robots may have a wider operational area but one of two things could be done, maybe even both, They will need tools of course and one of the ways it can be done is either with robots they will use mining picks, you supply the port with them or latter even have mining lasers that just require power.

If it is the droid option then they would only simply need to be supplied with drill heads and then later can be upgraded with mining lasers as well, The drill heads cam be made out of Iron and then Steel, giving steel faster mining and more durability.


My next suggestion is on a military matter, The game as it stands has 3 turrets for primary defense, and then you add the rocket defense once it gets put into the game, because when I tested out the map maker it just had a pink box called rocket defense.

Now my suggestion is to add 1 of two things or maybe even both if possible, to add the automatic mine layer that will lay mines in a 6x6 around it self or have a mine launching turret that will launch mines into the designated area and will only launch 3 mines into that area and attempt to get them as close as possible to that area and keep them stocked there as long as they have a supply of mines.

With this suggestion I would find mines much more useful and would give players another thing to add to automatic production, Because mines are very useful in my opinion but they are such a annoyance to place down all the time.

Now for my discussion about pollution, I am sure this has been talked about countless times and I have really yet to look thought all the searches but I would still like to talk about it here.

Right now the only thing pollution does is attract and evolve biters, In my honest opinion, we are quote on quote "Terra-forming" the planet for colonization but we can just fort our place up and pollute the planet as much as we want and it won't really effect anything at all, So it would be nice to see the area around the pollution slowly change and maybe even add where it would kill off the grass and trees in the area and even stop the ability to grow plants and crops for food if they are going to implement food that is.

Either way, these are my thoughts and suggestions that I wanted to post and have talked about, Thanks for reading and please read as much as you can and try to understand it before posting anything.

The construction bots already lay and replace used mines.

Then I must be doing something wrong as they are not replacing the mines that are being used.

Hm. Do you have replacement-mines ready in a storage- or provider-chest? Are the (connected) roboport(s) in reach of both, the chest and the mine-field?
