Placing a single robot while moving is impossible

If you're moving (on foot or in a vehicle) and try to place a single robot, it will place 3-5 robots. The longer you hold down the mouse button, the more bots are placed. I cannot manage to press the mouse button briefly enough to place only one robot.
This is just a minor annoyance when I end up with a few too many robots in my inventory and I don't want to wait for logistic robots to take them away. If I place too many robots, then I end up having a logistic robot chasing after me to give me back a few robots. I don't like robots chasing me (make them faster please
