Alien science pack

I had an idea about this science pack.. Right now, you just have to destroy some spawner to directly get it...

I was thinking of another way, each creature (For the moment creeper) has a chance to drop an item. This item could have some alien specificities (special alloy, new electronic, high develop artificial intelligence, etc...). And by putting this item in our research lab we would be able, either, to develop specific technologies, to get item in order to make Alien science pack or to simply copy the alien technology...

I believe it they would be way too easy to obtain though, farming would be quite easy.

Way to easy, it depends on the mob you have to kill to get things... They did not implement everything yet ;)

I made a mod for myself, where one creeper can drop 1-5 small artifacts, and with 100 small artifacts you can make a alien artifact

If aliens drop "alien science packs" (not normal science packs) that could be a way to unlock a special alien tech-tree.

Also, I think aliens randomly dropping alien science packs (1-10 chance) would be better than a leveling system.

They do not have to drop the whole science park, just some stuff that you could use to make science pack or to unlock little by little new alien technologies...

Time to revisit this: Still needed?

There are some mods, that enables this and for the vanilla it is sometimes difficult, but in most cases possible to get the eggs.
On he other hand, the whole system with the eggs feels a bit unfinished.
