Third option for bitters/peaceful mode

A third option instead of just Bitters and peaceful mode. (not a mod a game change)
An Ancient Alien Civilization (AAC) seeded many planets with AIs. It is possible that they were to protect, claim, clean them, but the reason is unknown.
These AIs come in 3 types small scouts, medium soldiers and large cleaners. They become active by signs of technically development (pollution).
The bases are a source for alien artifacts.

This might increase game retention with less negative idea of colonization.

Because destroying Artificial Intelligence is a less violent form of colonization... [/sarcasm]

No offense intended, but in my years I have come to think about that as being as hypocritical as when they turn red blood into green blood in games and arguing that a game is less violent because of that. It's still blood, no matter the color. And so would be AI still be sentient lifeforms.

How would the player's interaction with AAC be different than player interaction with biters? What new possibilities does this open up?
