Hidden Oil

Note: I have looked around and while there seems to be a lot of hidden mineral suggestions, there doesnt seem to be anything about oil.
To sum it up, I would like the ability to possibly find extra surface oil using a short range "ground penetrating radar" building similar in size and possibly power consumption to the "radar" already in game, that would scan a 3x3 chunk grid around it for oil (maximum of 1 oil well found per scanning per chunk requiring multiple scannings) that would take a while to scan a chunk. Once found a surface well would spawn that could be tapped.
Spawning of hidden wells:
This could imo be inplemented in 2 ways.
1) Higer chance but lower quality well spawning near current oil patches allowing for more oil extraction per patch.
2) Medium-High quality oil well patches found randomly about the map but several chunks from original oil patches that would be difficult to find but allow for great rewards if found. (Preferred due to difficulty+reward)
This late game (like, VERY late game) research would grant acess to more oil wells without the need of hundreds of beacons with speed/productivity modules.
This mechanic could also be applied to uranium mining should the acid+Well-like uranium source+power -> uranium ore/powder/isotope which seems reasonably popular to aid in the use of nuclear power should it be implemented. Should uranium wells be a rare occourance this could add an extra degree of complexity to large scale nuclear power.
