Additional Satelites

Due to rockets and satellites not really having much of a point right now, I wondered if specialized satellites could be launched that would add to the late game?
The first would be a spy-satellite. This would essentially just be a radar that doesn't require anything to be built on the ground and could be controlled using some sort of item that would tell the satellite where to 'scan' allowing for rail lines or areas far away to be watched. You could also, using an upgrade to the night vision goggles module, view the scanned area as if you were at that point.
To balance it, it can only move once every 24 in game hours and the controller can only select an area on screen, so to scout an enemy base you must first infiltrate it or get near a biter nest that you may be worried about.
The second would be a communications satellite
. This combined with a smallish building (1x1 or 2x2 antenna) would allow you to build circuit networks without wires (apart from going too and from the antenna) would allow you to send different signals over a range of frequency's. Each additional satellite would unlock another 10-20 frequencies allowing you to build stations that would only call a train when resources are needed/available. Without requiring long circuit networks. To configure the networks you must be at an antenna.
The third and most powerful would be the orbital laser cannon
and would require LOADS of resources (100-500 laser turrets, over 1000 accumulators, over 1000 solar panels, 2-3 satellites (the already in game item) plus possibly an antenna from the spy sat elite idea). This would also be controlled using the satellite controller (with each satellite having a card that can be cycled in a way similar to blueprints in the blueprint book). Again, once a day the cannon can be fired and do massive amounts of damage to a huge area. But to fire it you must (while holding the controller) click on screen away from player placed objects such as factories or defenses (this one is more for clearing huge biter nests in a single shot then pvp warfare) or it will not activate. A large circle will then show up and hang around for 5-10 seconds, indicating the AOE of the blast. Should you be within it an alarm will go off warning you of your impending doom. It will then fire after the 5-10 seconds warning dealing several thousand damage killing everything in site.
A missile could also be added (with great expense) that could take down a single satellite (requiring a rocket) to cripple enemy networks or defenses.
Note: all of this research would come after the rocket and possibly require a sort of 'orbital lab' that you must launch first and would supply data. This data would unlock the satellites, first the communications one, then the spy and finally the orbital laser.
Just my idea for additional end game stuff to make the circuit network better and clearing late game biters easier as well as providing a use for satelites in the short term.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
