Use items in logistic network to craft

Hi all,
I know there is some other suggestions of one time requests to the logistic network, I really like this idea and I'd like to go a bit further :
What if when we start a craft (for example fast transport belt), we could use by default items stored in logistic network (like transport belts or iron gears, in my example) ?
I think that would be great, in addition to one time requests, because when we use trash slots we send many different recipe ingredients into logistic network, but then we have to manually take back them or request them in large quantities, then re-use the trash slot...
What do you think about that ?

I think this is overpowered and would make the game too easy.
I definitely have that problem of trashing items and then needing them back again.
The end-game armors give more inventory slots which should reduce this problem.
I think a structure that teleports items would be the best solution here.
(It should be large, require advanced research, draw significant electrical power, and its ingredients should require a significant resource investment.)
Anyone want to write a mod to do this?

Why too easy ? It's the same that permanent requests : we can access ressources from anywhere, logistic robots are designed for that. I didn't talk about teleportation, just logistic. My idea is to use one time logistic requests when needing one (or some) item(s) for a recipe, if it's available in the storage network.
Or do you mean that it's the one time request that would be overpowered ?

So, why did they implement trashes if finally we have to walk to chests, and look for items we need ? I Think that feature would complete that system without being more overpowered than trash slots...

Hm. This is very similar to the idea of one-time-requesting the items to fill your inventory for blueprints.
But it is in my eyes useless. Many reasosn:
- Cause the sense of Factrio is
not need to craft yourself.
- Cause when you want to craft, crafting starts immediately.
- Instead of crafting items you want to use items. If you don't have them yet you should assemble them.

Yes the idea is similar.
I agree with your 2 first points. And yes, if I don't have that item, I'll want to assemble it. From which parts ? Some that I'll craft or some that flood my base ?
That was the main idea : a method to clean storage boxes where we empty our trash slots. Or the devs could add a definitive trash, or an incinerator, where unwanted stuff can be destroyed

I misunderstood. I thought you meant that if an item exists anywhere in the logistic network it is immediately available for crafting. (Which would be overpowered.) Having a shortcut for logistic requests is not overpowered.
You only need to keep a handful of items on hand to build most of the items in the game:
- iron plates
- copper plates
- steel plates
- electronic circuits
- advanced circuits
- (iron gear wheels)
If you want to do a lot of hand crafting you can just allocate five request slots for these items. Depending on your playstyle you can add batteries, engines and electric engines. Maybe stone and coal as well. That's not a large number of request slots, especially in late game when you have 30 available. Having said that, I've done the "no hand crafting" challenge four times. I like that challenge and that playstyle. But there's no reason other people have to play that way.
When I request an item it might take a while for it to be delivered. I think it makes more sense to order a few hundred copper and a few hundred steel, rather than ordering five copper plates and one steel plate so you can craft one piercing rounds magazine. I think hand crafting is supposed to be a bit inconvenient so you'll use assemblers instead.
