Vehicle Controls (drift)

It sometimes feels, while driving around in the car, that it would be cool if it was also possible to have a sort of "handbrake" button, which would allow you to drift.
For instance, pressing the button while at speed would allow you to continue travelling in the direction you accelerated, even as you turned. You'd have the screech of tires, and the wheels would throw up dust while you were drifting. And then when you released the button, your car would momentarily begin to travel in the direction it faced again.
This is a non-critical potential feature, but it strikes me it would significantly add to the joy of being able to drive around in the car, and enhance the playability of the game in general.
