Would it not be handy to have a chest that places items the player trash slots in there.
This way if you want to remove not often used items like weapons, ammo, not often used buildings and blueprints you always know where your logistics robots have put them when you own a lot of storage chests.
It would also be nice to have this chest also a passive provider chest so if you trash items like ores, the logistics roboits wil then also use these items if they are requested.

I think your asking for a new type of chests specific to Trash...Actual trash that may never get used. I think you are also complaining that Storage chests can't be filtered which is an often complained about issue and should be fixed IMHO.

Honestly I think that Filtered storage chests solves all of these problems.

Filtered storage would indeed do something.
But i mean more that when you want to do specific things like building railroads or something and afterworths you just want all the rails to go away and you have a lot of storage chests you can go look for them if you need them again.
(i use a lot of storage chest to stock my reserves of ores). The real trash things like ores work just fine at this moment but it is really for those things you don't need often you can make sure they are getting into a specific container without having to walk there. For example you want to change your power armor grid and you trash some batery's or shields, you can go look in all of the chests (i know the alt button but with a lot of chests it is even then hard to find them).

But im'glad to hear there are more requests to filter storage chests (i hope with the option of "anything but" and "only this")
