Water, shores, and tidal power generation

It would be nice to give the shores of large bodies of water a bit of animation. Having waves crest onto the shores could open the door up for tidal power generation. Each day/night cycle could have a tidal phase. Here is a document I found about the energy generation capabilities.

Like solar, tidal energy production is not constant in a 24hr period. It can generate peak power for several hours while the tide goes in during the day and when it pulls out during the night. It's even higher if the Sun and Moon are aligned (Full Moon or New Moon), and the Moon happens to be at the closest point in its orbit (perigee).

The SeaGen station can generate 1.2MW in an 18hr time span.
