[Trains vs Player] Level crossing and/or boom barrier

It would be proper to have level crossings.

There is quite a number of train deaths that could be prevented by this simple solution.
It could be even "anti-crossing", like not the red light for a car or a tank (in a case of approaching train), but the red light for the train in a case of approaching player. Or be it both - for the choice of the player.
It could be even same "gate" element, only parallel to a railway, not perpendicular, with counter-behaviour - raising up when the train is on the block.

Well, my suggestion shouldn't be too complex, won't change the balance, won't decrease fun. And there is some demand for it.
So why not?

I've looked over those discussions and found nothing. Well, except the point like "this is part of fun, so be it!" Can you point me to some of that "everything" that "will come"?

At first I just didn't see the point, just thought that you'd wonder across the track and not use a crossing anyway.. But reread and paid attention the second time around, and totally see the idea behind an auto lifting barrier to wall off the track if a train is near. But for me getting run over is one of the few FFS moments in Factorio, don't get me wrong here, it's irritating as hell, and I totally understand the concept of the barrer. But isn't it just Factorio? If you're paying attention you do get warning from the rail signals changing colour when a train is near after all. And let's face it even in the real world there are some pretty epic Darwin Award winners for Crossings and the like, and knowing my luck I'd get run over because I tried to run the wrong way and get walled in anyway. Same goes for railway tracks, if you're wondering about on railways, and not paying attention, shouldn't there be a consequence?
I totally understand the idea, my personal opinion though is that it's better the way it is. Look out, or else! (that mods name, HAHA!)

Well, I don't want to repeat the discussion in
viewtopic.php?f=80&t=7717
but there are gates already in the game; you know you can turn the gates up/down with circuit network. There are walls, where the player cannot pass. There will be (hopefully) sensors that enable switching of the gates in the right moment. The will be light signals. Eventually sound signals.
So my opinion is: Wait and see.

WHAT ABOUT if <something> is <X> near the rails and the train is coming some accustic signal... like in real life?

Im not talking about a crossing element in the game, just that the trains give sounds when something is near...? I odnt see it suggested...
