I've been playing around with a map with huge forests.
Been thinking that it would be awesome if there was some way of going through them that doesn't mean chopping down every tree!
(Right now I*m using my SMG instead and just shooting everything to shreds!)

Either some kind of armament and armor for the car could work, so that it doesn't break so easily from crashing into trees. Either some help to just swerve around trees since the controls are not that easy to use or lowering the damage the car takes from impact a whole lot. Maybe making the car dead rather than destroyed. So that it can be repaired.

Maybe a woodlogger?
Some slowish machine that you drive that will just obliterate the forests.

One of the Factorio mods offers "hower bike" if I'm not mistaken. So not only you can pass through forests without problem you can also pass over lakes.
Unfortunately I don't know which mod does support that.

Get a combat shotgun with enough upgrades and you can just blast your ways though the thickest forests.
But yes, an armored car to ram stuff would be useful.

I've jsut downloaded that mod with the hover bike. It's one of FreeERs mods, It didn't quite work though, but should work now so I will give it a go soon.
