maybe some sort of Crystal Based biter with Laser resistance,
or perhaps something that's more of a pest then a threat (latches on to your power grid stealing power)

Well, I like the ideas. "crystal biter" would be something interesting, but i think the devs have enough ideas themself for new enemies.
But an energy stealing enemy is a very nice idea in my opinion.
