Slow Filter Inserter

I think there should be a cheaper version of the filter inserter that goes as fast as the normal inserter so if you have a conveyor belt with resources going by they are not all being taken by the filter inserter

There is no filter inserter anymore. Only fast- or smart.
You can use the simple combination: use a cascade of a smart inserter to filter and a following basic inserter. That slow it down.

But in principle: sometime I wish I had a slower smart inserter, but in fine steps of 0.1 secs downgrade able.

And what about using a splitter to divide the flow of materials?

Yes, of course. Much better.

I mean this idea of a adjustable splitter is a better idea as I thought at beginning. Because currently a splitter splits by 1/2, which means for the splitter after that splitter, that he splits with 1/4 of the original stream. And so on. I see many uses for something like that.

The problem with splitters is that i have copper and iron going on the same conveyor belt so a splitter would give me copper and iron when i only want iron

use smart inserters to get iron on another belt line, then split the two, and merge half of the iron back with main line ;)

Yes, this is the kind of problems that is factorio about. (In my view).

Precisely, I think factorio is great because you have to think to get your things done.
If there is a way, you gotta' find it !

Also it's the same reason for that other thread with adding crafts at the beginning of the queue, if you need to cancel 2K crafts to add that small amount of bullets, maybe you didn't do it right, and you should have setup an assembly line for the 2K items, even if it takes some time and some resources, that's the point of the game, and maps are infinite anyway :)
